- Emphasizes the pure and clean nature of Namjeju based on its emerald oceans and blue skies
- Symbolizes the free, strong Namjeju citizens through the color and shape of basalt





Character – Character: Cheongi and Jeongi

Symbolic and abstract, the characters play a role of friendly communication. Cheongi and Jeongi were created to represent the theme of the pure and clean nature of Namjeju. Cheongi (green leaf character) stands for the clean, thick forests while Jeongi (water-drop character) stands for the pure, clean water and ocean environment.
