WCC Environment Festival in Jeju will be held for a one month starting August 16th

2012 Jeju World Conservation Congress the General environment festival is scheduled to be held in Jeju starting from August 16th for a month. Jeju will be transformed throughout the festival. Jeju Island chose the major programs for the festival and is preparing to invite residents and tourists. In this period, 100 million people are expected to participate, including domestic and foreign residents and tourists. The environmental festival will be opened with seven major locations in Jeju City, including the Halla Arboretum, Sulmundae Women's Center, and the Folklore and Natural History Museum, as well as four locations in Seogwipo city, including the Lifelong Learning Education Center and the Maritime Museum. There will be various experiences of Jeju's natural environment and a historical and cultural learning festival. In addition, exhibitions, performances, experiences, and other colorful programs were carefully selected. Meanwhile, the opening ceremony is on August 16th at the Geomun Oreum World Heritage Center. Seminars and workshops related to environmental issues or globalization of Jeju culture will be held simultaneously.
