    • Quicker and more prompt rescue is available through 112 or 119 than reporting to the police since the former is processed by computer.

    • 119 is an emergency system through which rescue teams and fire engines are dispatched to the place of a fire as quickly as possible.
    • Upon receiving a report, a fire station under jurisdiction dispatches firefighters to take immediate action.
    • Witnesses of such large accidents as an elevator accident, building collapse or gas explosion are requested to give a true and detailed report of the accident.

    • Various types of violence to women such as domestic violence, sexual harrassment, and human trafficking is the infringement of women's human rights. The center offers counseling and shelters to women facing domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. The center is operated 24 hours a day all year round. Just dial 1366 anywhere in the nation and the call center representatives provide you not only counseling service but also assistance with obtaining shelters and medical care as well as social-welfare, legal, and other necessary services.

    • 1399 is the number for Emergency Medical Information Center. When you call 1399, English speaking doctors assist foreigners, providing them with relevant medical information in case of emergency 24 hours a day. To use the service, dial 1339 directly without area codes.
  • Korean Travel Phone Information 1330
    • 1330 call center representatives provide all kinds of Korean travel info, and interpret for you via the telephone. Press area code and the number. Open 24 hours a day.
  • Directory Assistance 114
    • The precise name and address must be given in order to find the corresponding telephone number. Open 24 hours a day.

    • If you have difficulty in communicating with anyone here in Korea, please call 1588-5644.
